Oracle Spatial Training:
Geomatic Technologies are accredited trainers in the full Oracle Spatial product range and can deliver both the Oracle 10g Spatial Fundamentals and Oracle 10g Spatial Advanced courses, providing full course materials and a dedicated training environment. Oracle Spatial is an option for the Enterprise version of the Oracle Database. It provides capabilities for the storage and analysis of spatial objects such as points, line and polygons. Oracle Locator contains a subset of the spatial functionality within Oracle Spatial and is included in all versions of Oracle Database 10g.
Oracle 10g Spatial Fundamentals is a 3-day course designed to cover the key concepts and functional areas of Oracle 10g Spatial(tm) and Oracle 10g Locator. Upon completion of the course, students are able to load, tune, analyze and visualize their spatial data and to utilize advanced features such as the Oracle Geocoder, Oracle Mapviewer and Oracle Spatial's Linear Referencing System.
Oracle 10g Spatial Advanced is a 2-day course that covers new features of Oracle 10g Spatial such as the GeoRaster datatype for image data storage, Oracle Spatial Topology Data Model, Oracle Spatial Network Data Model, Spatial Analysis and Oracle Workspace Manager. Upon completion of this course, students are able to load, visualize and manipulate their raster data as well as build complex spatial applications that include geocoding, routing and web-mapping using the Oracle technology stack.
Both courses are delivered via Oracle University providing you with recognized certification.
