Quality and Processes
Geomatic Technologies received quality certification to ISO:9002-1994 in 1995 (license No. QEC5794). In November 2003 this certification was upgraded to ISO 9001:2000.
It is our practice to execute work and deliver information and services in accordance with client requirements and project specifications.
Our objective is to satisfy our clients’ requirements with quality professional products and services that:
- are technically complete and correct;
- are delivered on time and within budget;
- represent value for money; and
- build a close working relationship with our customers and partners.
In order to achieve these objectives, the company has implemented a quality assurance program based on the requirements of ISO 9001. So that we may manage and monitor projects effectively; planned, systematic controls and assessment actions have been incorporated within the program.
For each project, a quality assurance engineer works with the project manager to establish formal procedures and records that are completed throughout the project. This forms part of a structured continuous improvement program that ensures the quality of our services and products, helps reduce costs, improves productivity and develops staff skills.
Constant review and audit of this program ensures its applicability and use throughout the organization. Retention of our accreditation requires that our program is audited regularly to ensure consistency of service remains at the forefront of our daily operations.
Independent external audits review the Quality Management System documentation bi-annually. In addition to these external audits, internal audits are undertaken by Geomatic Technologies’ quality auditors. Internal audits provide a mechanism for ensuring that procedures are being followed, project specifications and ultimately client requirements are met.
Geomatic Technologies has in place procedures for dealing with non-conformance issues and directly involves clients with our Quality Assurance program. Key staff have been involved on a consultancy level with the establishment of Quality Assurance systems to several other organizations within Victoria, Australia.
The Geomatic Technologies management team is committed to the principles of continuous improvement and to the successful implementation and maintenance of the quality system. All employees are committed to the quality system and are aware of its benefits to customer satisfaction, internal processes and the goals and objectives of Geomatic Technologies.
